The Enriquillo Lake

Is a salt lake in the south west of the Dominican Republic. Between the sierras of Neiba and of Bahoruco, it is aproximadamente 42 m under  sea level, and extends over 256 km2. In the center of the island "Cabrito" can be found, a national park, famous for their concentration of crocodiles, iguanas and hundreds of species of birds, among them is the most popular is the herons and the flamingos.
